ShoCasters - What's new

This page is dedicated to all the new features that you are able to use during your ShoCast. We are constantly updating our systems to create a better broadcasting and viewing experience for you and your viewers. On the new embedded player, when the show is not live, it now will display a message when your next show is and your PUBLIC email address you enter to your Shovio profile.

Embed your personalized player. This new player (see the new code in your ShoCast page) will play your ShoCast only.

The host now has full control over the volume level of their caller.

ShoCasters have the ability to change their show description. If you have selected the wrong category or changed your show content before the show, you can adjust it by going to the 'My ShoCast" page and by clicking on 'Update' button to edit your information for the show scheduled.

After you register for your ShoCast, you have the ability to copy and paste the code to embed the Shovio player on any website, social network, or blog...etc. To embed the player, simply copy and paste the code. The embed player will also allow you to register new users right in your webpage.

When viewers are watching your live broadcast, they have the option to make the Shovio screen larger. They will click on the broadcast once to enlarge the screen. Click once more and the screen will return to it's default size.

You have the option to choose between a medium or high quality broadcast streams when you are performing the audio and video test before you begin broadcasting. A medium stream is the default setting. In order to stream a high quality broadcast, you MUST perform the speed and quality test for your Internet connection. You may only use a high quality stream if your Internet connection is excellent.

Advertisement entries will initiate every 20 and 40 minutes after the hour in each and every ShoCast. Each advertisement will give you a 1 minute warning before the ad is initiated. If you are playing a clip, you have to close it before the ad starts. If you have a caller on, you don't have to hang up.

Every clip that you can upload can now be up to 15 MB.

The host AND the caller can now talk over a playing clip either while its playing (the host will have control over this feature, but the caller may accompany the host with comments) or by pausing the clip and commenting.
