If you are experiencing a problem, before you start to troubleshoot, make sure you are using the latest flash player - Update Adobe Player.

Do I receive an email confirmation after registration?
No. Shovio will not send you a confirmation email. You will be automatically logged in after you register.
Forgot your password?
Yes. Click the Login button on the top right corner of the homepage and you will see a link to 'Forgot your password?,' enter your email associated with your ShoID and an email will be sent to you with your ShoID and link. The link will log you in and open your Profile page, where you can submit a new password. Type the new password, confirm password and click on Edit.
The show is skipping while I am watching the Shovio player.
Shovio shows can be affected by 1. Internet Connection Quality and 2. Your Computer:
- Internet Connection Quality. Shovio is directly affected by your internet connection. It is highly recommended that you have a connection wired to your computer*. If you still experience difficulties watching a clear stream of video and audio, reset your router and modem box (Unplug the router first, then the modem box, leaving inactive for a few minutes. Plug the modem in first wait for the lights to flicker on and then plug in the router).
- Your Computer. When you start viewing Shovio, it is highly recommended that you completely turn off all other applications that will occupy your bandwidth, such as YouTube, Skype, Kaazaa, etc. If a problem still persists, check the system tray (lower right corner of the desktop next to the computer's clock) to make sure there are no programs still running. For internet applications, close out the window completely; minimizing will not suffice. Make sure you are running the latest adobe flash player Update Adobe Player.
*Shovio will not be compatible with a Dial-up connection.
How much bandwidth do I need to watch Shovio?

The bandwidth requirement to watch and beam in (call in) to the show depends on the type of broadcasting. The broadcaster can choose to use lower quality or high quality broadcasting. See the bandwidth requirement for each type above.
I can't see the Shovio player on the page.
Shovio requires your computer to have Adobe Flash. If you are having a problem viewing, you may need to update you Adobe. Update Adobe Player.
I don't see the chat going on.
The broadcaster paused the chat. The broadcaster has full control of the chat. Once the broadcaster resumes the chat, you will see the chat sent during the pause scrolling by quickly.
Check your internet connection.
I can't use the chat function.
If the chat function is not working, but you can see the chat, you did not behave and have been blocked. Shovio does not allow an abusive or disrespectful behavior. You will be able to view the chat taking place, but you will not be allowed to participate (you also will not be able to beam in). Please see the community guidelines section in Policy at the bottom of the homepage - Policy.
I logged in and I see there are 0 viewers on the site.
If you see 0 viewers, but you see the video stream, it is a problem on the broadcaster's side. The broadcaster will shortly notice and restart the broadcast. Once you see the broadcast has been ended, wait for the broadcast to resume. Select the show on the drop down menu and click the watch button to enter the show.
If you see 0 viewers, but you do not see the video stream or the stream is stalled, it is a problem on your computer's side. There is a problem with your bandwidth. Check your Internet connection and then restart the Shovio player.
The 'Remember Me' function doesn't work.
To ensure functionality to remember your ShoID and password make sure your browser allows cookies. In your browser, allow cookies in your Internet Options.
I do not see the show, I am watching from work.
IT departments in large companies will block certain ports to prevent you from doing anything else but working. Shovio needs to use some of these ports to deliver the live stream. Unlike YouTube and other media, the Shovio stream is different. Watch Shovio on your mobile phone instead ;-) You can perform a test to see if your IT department is blocking the ports.
