How do I record a Shov?
To record a Shov, you first must select what type of Shov you would like to record, either text only, text with audio, or text with Audio/Video. If you choose to Shov with text only, type the text in the designated box and click on the submit button. If you choose to Shov with audio and/or video, select the type you wish to use and the Shov record will appear on the right. Click the record button to start recording and you will see a red color counter counting the remaining time you have to record your Shov. To stop recording, click the stop button. Click on the play button to review the Shov and if you are satisfied, enter the text that will be displayed with the recorded Shov (all Shovs require text) and click on the submit button.
How long will the Shovs be displayed on my Shov page?
The Shov will expire 7 days from the date and time you posted it to the Shov page. You have the ability to download your Shovs and Shovs your friends have recorded to your computer by clicking on the download button.
Where can I view my own Shov and what can I do with them?
The Shovs are located underneath the Shov recorder on the Shov page. You will be able to playback your own Shovs and delete your Shovs at any time. To listen click on any of these buttons. To delete click delete button.
Who can see my Shovs?
Any authorized friends will be able to see your Shov on their homepage when they login.
I recorded my Shov, but I cannot hear any sound when I played it back.
To hear your recorded Shov, make sure that your main computer audio controllers are up. To adjust the computer's main audio, go to the computer audio settings and find the main controllers. Raise the levels on the microphone and speakers. This needs to be done even if your audio test is fine. If the audio levels are low in the main controller, the levels will be low during the recording.
I cannot see my friend that I just added.
To see friends that you have just added, refresh your home page.
What is a Shov Back?
A Shov Back is a comment made on one of your friend's Shov.
How do I Shov Back?
To Shov Back on a Shov that your friend recorded, click on the Shov Back button and the Shov recorder will appear so you may comment on your friend's Shov.
I am a fan of the host, will I receive his/her Shovs?
Yes. If you click on the fan button on the Shovio player when you are watching the show, you will become a fan of the host and automatically start receive the host's shov on your home tab after you login.
How do I post my Shovs on Twitter and Facebook?
To post your recorded Shovs to your Twitter and Facebook, go to your Shov page and click on the designated buttons. A window will open that asks for your username and password in order to link your Shovs to your other pages.
Can I use HTML tags in the text of my Shov?
Yes you can.
