Shovio Community Guidelines – for Public ShovCasters

Respect the Shovio Community

Just because you can become ShoCaster now and broadcast you own show, does not mean you will abuse it.

Don't Cross the Line

Here are Shovio rules (if you break these rules you will be blocked from using or watching Shovio):

• Shovio public shows are not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If this describes your show or material you will use during the show, even if it's a show of yourself, don't play it on Shovio. Also, be advised that we will work closely with law enforcement and we will report child exploitation.
• We do not allow shows showing stuff like animal abuse, drug abuse, under-age drinking and smoking, or bomb making or any other terrorist activities.
• Graphic or gratuitous violence is not allowed. If your Shovio shows someone being physically hurt, attacked, or humiliated, it will not be allowed.
• Shovio is not a shock site/service. Don't broadcast gross-out accidents, dead bodies or similar things intended to shock or disgust.
• Respect copyright. Only use material that you made or that you are authorized to use. This means don't play movies/clips you didn't make, or use content in your Shovio that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or Shovio shows made by other users, without necessary authorizations.
• We encourage free speech and defend everyone's right to express unpopular points of view. But we don't permit hate speech (speech which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, and sexual orientation/gender identity).
• Things like predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading privacy, revealing other people’s personal information, and inciting others to commit violent acts or to violate the Terms of Use are taken very seriously. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from Shovio.
• Don’t create misleading descriptions, tags, titles or thumbnails in order to increase viewership/views.

We Enforce These Guidelines

Shovio staff review the shows to determine whether you violate our Community Guidelines. When you do, we stop the show and/or remove the recorded shows from the archives and you will not be allowed to broadcast in the future. Sometimes a show doesn’t violate our Community Guidelines, but may not be appropriate for everyone. These shows may be age-restricted. Accounts are penalized for Community Guidelines violations and serious or repeated violations can lead to account termination. If your account is terminated, you won’t be allowed to create any new accounts.

Shovio is for the Community

• Have fun with the site and the technology. There's a lot to see and do here, and lot of ShoCasters are making amazing stuff! You might be one of the future Shovio stars broadcasters. Equipment's getting cheaper and easier to use all the time. Most likely you already have at home what you need to start your own ShoCast.
• Let us know what you think. Feedback's part of the experience, and when done with respect, can be a great way to make friends, share stories, and make your time on Shovio richer. So leave comments, become fan, fill in your profile, record your shovs…ect
• You may not like everything you see. Some of the content here may offend you—if you find that it violates our Terms of Use, then email us to let us know. If it doesn't, then consider just clicking on something else—why waste time watching shows you don't like?
