 Little-Kids-Rock

The Shovio/Little Kids Rock broadcast will beam into participating schools around the country on May 20th 2010

Little Kids Rock (LKR), a national nonprofit music organization that revitalizes and restores music education in public schools through teacher trainings and instrument donations, will be doing the first-of-its-kind fully interactive broadcast on Shovio. This special broadcast will bring together Rock Stars and LKR supporters Carmine Appice and Liberty Devitto with the students who participate in the program in one fully interactive experience. Through Shovio's unique and groundbreaking technology LKR students will be able to beam into the show via their computer, appear on the screen with the Appice and Devitto to ask questions, make comments and talk about how music has impacted their lives. The exchanges will be seen live by everyone who views the broadcast.

Since 2002, Little Kids Rock has been dedicated to putting music back in schools. LKR provides students with free musical instruments and instruction that focuses on their favorite popular music styles, including rock, blues, rap and hip-hop. So far, over 1,200 schools in more than 23 cities nationwide have benefited from a Little Kids Rock program, and the response from kids, parents and teachers has been phenomenal.  Other Rock luminaries who are associated with Little Kids Rock include Bonnie Raitt, Joe Satriani, Jason Newsted, Orianthi and Adam Lambert.  Little Kids Rock has brought several world renowned musicians directly into the LKR classrooms, and now they take a step forward making Appice and Devitto available to every classroom simultaneously, via the Shovio broadcast.
